There is an option to change your email address, what happens when you try to use it?
2) Message boards : Wish list : 64 bit application for OSX/Intel (Message 9293)

Sorry for the OT post. Now back to the topic here...is there going to be, is there now, a 64 bit version for either Linux or Windows for ABC?

There already are 64 bit applications for Windows and Linux.

[EDIT]
All projects have a page where you can view the applications and platforms, it's http://www.project.com/apps.php. For abc it's http://www.abcathome.com/apps.php
A list for all projects is kept here.

There are reports that this run of the Project will end in somewhere around 108 days or whatever. My questions is...are you guys going to just shutdown or start up another run? Of course we users would MUCH prefer another run.
Please try to stay on topic, shutting down the project has nothing to do with a 64 bit OSX intel app. The relevant thread for that is here

How long will the pause in the project be and will the current credits be transferred?

We'll try to make this transition as smooth as possible, but there might be a short outage, it's too early to tell now. Since we're running the same project with a different app and larger workunits, the credit will remain intact.

It's been announced over at S@H, that ABC will shortly be shutting down. Cannot find any info on front page regarding this.

Is this true & if so, when?

ABC is not shutting down. When we reach our inital goal we will increase the boundary to probably 10^21. This might take some time as we need a new application as numbers get larger than 2^64 and there's no C type for integers larger than 64 bit. So we are gonna write a new application which can handle integers > 2^64. Because the numbers are larger than 2^64 the application will be a little slower, but because of algorithmic inprovements, the application will be quite a bit faster in total.

At this moment we do not have the resources to compile new applications for ABC, as our main programmer is in Italy at the moment.

As much as we would like to have an 64 bit OSX BOINC app, and one for the playstation and one for every platform there is, at the moment we do not have the resources to program these applications. Our main programmer is in Italy, and we see what we can do now, but compiling programs is a little hard for us to do now.

I agree, the fpops needs to be stepped up again. It probably needs several small steps over the coming months.

fpops_est got another nudge from 1e13 to 1.2e13

I have increased the fpops from 5 to 7 e12 and will increase it as far as necessary.
