Posted 1654 days ago by d.scain.farenzena There is any chance on letting others (community) develop for ABC project? Suppose I would want to code for ABC and start sending the numbers by myself, without even with BOINC client. There is a open protocol for that? Like a webservice? Regards, Daniel |

Posted 1745 days ago by d.scain.farenzena Since some articles are in Dutch, I can't know what is the current progress of the project. There is the possibility of having a short summary in English? I'll try to update the corresponding Wikipedia article on ABC conjecture. Thank you. |

Posted 1745 days ago by d.scain.farenzena 1. Can we contribute with algorithms? Seeing the PS3 posts, maybe more experienced programmers with Cell could create good algorithms for ABC@Home. 2. If we could contribute, even with PC algorithms, then the programmer from ABC@Home could make only validations, to assure algorithm quality. Maybe this way we could make faster algorithms and reduce ABC@Home programmers load. Good job! |

Posted 1745 days ago by d.scain.farenzena ABC takes advantages of 64 bit architecture. Perhaps it could take advantages of the 128 bit architecture of CellBE processor, or if not need, 6 very high speed cores for maths and 2 simultaneous 64 operations in each core. Really we can't get out all of PS3 acceleration, but still there is lot of hardware power to harvest. Let's suppose PS3 would be not faster then common PC, still we would get more people processing ABC, cause their PS3 are idle. |
