Eflornithine is the first topical drug for the treatment of unwanted facial and chin hair. The patients received either eflornithine permanent hair removal cream cream or a placebo cream twice daily for 24 weeks. By the end of 24 weeks of treatment, 70% of eflornithine-treated patients had at least permanent hair removal cream some reduction in the rate of hair growth compared with 41% of placebo-treated patients. Eflornithine is used to slow hair growth on the face and chin in women ages 12 and older. It is the first and only prescription cream proven to slow the growth of unwanted facial hair (UFH) in women. And that's wonderful news. Overall, Vaniqa statistically significantly reduced the number of patients bothered by their facial hair and by the time spent removing, treating, or concealing facial hair.. This enzyme is used in the metabolism of hair and is a necessary component for its growth. Over time you may be removing hair less often. | |
