Botox was something that had interested me for many years and as much as I wanted to try it out on my crow’s feet, it was something that I just wasn’t sure enough about. When it comes to Botox San Jose is the best place in this area to go and have it done and they have some of the very best health clinics there. I finally took the plunge last year and decided to have a small amount of Botox administered, and the results were amazing. If you are on the fence as I was then I wanted to see if I could answer some of your questions.
Does It Hurt?
I had a total of 6 injections in my face and whilst I wouldn’t exactly say that it hurt, having the needle go under the skin was certainly uncomfortable and you are scared to move in case it snaps! The needle feels like getting a deep scratch on your face but they are in and out in no time at all so isn’t really a huge problem.
Is It Instant?
Contrary to what I believed before I had the Botox it actually takes a week or two before you will start seeing results. In my case I didn’t know this and when I called the clinic later that day to vent my frustrations about the fact that the Botox hadn’t worked, I was then informed that the Botox would actually take a little while to kick in, I duly apologized and waited for the results.
How Long Does It Last?
As long as you look after your skin once you have had the Botox the effects can last for up to 6 months before it starts to wear off. In my case I would say that after 4 months I saw some slight signs of wrinkles coming back but I only received a very small dose of Botox, if you have more injected then this will of course last longer.
How Often Can I Do It?
The biggest issue with repeatedly having Botox injections is that eventually your body will get used to it and it simply won’t have the impact that it once did. During the consultation I asked his question and they told me that if you have injections once or, at the most, twice per year, that you will still get the same results as though it was your first time. Any more than twice pre year and you could get results that you are not looking for. For me I think that I will only use Botox again if I have a wedding or a particular even to go to where I want to look my best.
If you are on the fence about getting Botox I would recommend that you make an appointment with someone local who performs this procedure, and speak to them about any concerns which you may have.
