3 Picture Day Outfit Ideas for Little Girls

September 22, 2022 by Lauren Palmer

When the fall season approaches, one of the first things that come to mind is the dreaded school picture day; but you don’t have to dread it any longer. If you have an adorable little girl in your life, this article will help you choose picture day outfits that are both stylish and comfortable for your little princess. You can show her off in any of these three outfits or mix and match them with each other to create countless combinations that are sure to make her look like the beautiful little doll she is!

A color block look

A trendy take on a color block look. This outfit includes green-colored pants, a pink-colored short sleeve bodysuit, and a multi-colored herringbone coat. A pop of color in the hair and accessories is an optional but super cute touch. Playful bows and a bright headband are perfect! These simple touches will make your little girl feel confident about her picture day look. Her favorite colors might be blue, red, or green — it doesn’t matter what colors she chooses to wear as long as she feels happy and stylish! Another option would be a cute dress with loud color block shoes such as the Nike Air Max style. With these two outfits, you can create a different vibe each time you go to school.

A playful dress with socks and sandals

Parents always know that dressing their child for picture day can be challenging. You want them to look adorable, but it seems like it never fits into your schedule or budget. Here are three cute, easy outfits perfect for little girls’ picture day. If your daughter has ever worn the same outfit twice (let’s face it, they do), this is the blog post for you! The first outfit is a playful dress with trendy sneakers. It’s appropriate for all ages and could work well with either flats or boots, depending on what time of year it is. The second outfit is also quite simple: a pretty top with jeans and ballet flats. And lastly, we have a cardigan sweater dress paired with loafers or espadrilles–perfect if the weather’s chilly!

A shirt dress with flats

Since she is just a little girl, make sure the style of your outfit is age appropriate. A pair of dressy flats or closed-toe sandals and either a shirt dress, one with nice designs, or a lace dress from presleycouture.com are great choices. And speaking of dresses, always wear shorts underneath to prevent any accidental glimpses during photos that mom will regret later. A peter pan collar top can also be layered over the dress if she’s feeling fancy. You want to look your best for pictures, so always remember these ideas!

Next time you’re getting ready for your little girl’s first day of school or her very first day as a kindergartener, remember these outfit options to make her picture day photos look great. With any luck, she’ll grow into the clothes and be able to wear them again next year!
