Home Additions That Can Make a Big Impact

September 6, 2017 by Lauren Palmer

If you are living on a budget then the idea of remodeling or redecorating your home may be something that you need to consistently put on the back burner because of the expenditure that you will need to make. Whilst this is completely understandable, it is worth noting that there are ways in which you can give your home a new look, without spending the Earth.

The key to changing the perception and personality in your home is to invest in a large additions, centerpieces that will give the illusion of a new-look home decor, without the necessary upheaval of a redecoration job. Budgeting for a home addition such as this is far easier than for a full job and really makes sense for those who are tightening their belts a little. If you have been putting off decorating, here are some large additions which you can make to give your home a new lease of life.

Sofa

Whilst it may be a large investment, purchasing a classy and comfortable sofa can radically change the way that your living area looks, without the need to redecorate. The living room, aside from the kitchen and your bed, is where you probably spend the most time around the home so it makes sense to invest in this room. Equally, when it comes to guests coming around, the living room is where they will likely go and for this reason it is worth investing heavily in this room.

Entrance Floor

For a real wow factor when you arrive home or when someone enters the house, why not invest in some quality flooring for the entrance of your home. Here you could opt for some comfortable carpet, some nice looking wood flooring or even some attractive and classy stone flooring. This will have a huge impact on the home and it means you will only be investing in one item.

Art Installation

You can easily add art to your walls throughout the home for a very small cost. Art prints are available at a wide range of budget shops and if you can invest a little in an attractive frame, you can give the appearance of some classy art adorning your walls.

Vinyl Prints

Adding vinyl prints to your home can help to transform the look of the home, without costing the earth. Vinyl prints are cheap to buy, widely varied in terms of their designs and images, and can save you hundreds of dollars on wallpaper or paint. Better still, the vinyl images are easy to attach to your wall and they won’t require much work at all to add to your home.

Mirrors

Mirrors not only give the illusion of more space in the home, but they can also help areas to stand out where they didn’t previously. Mirrors are very cheap to buy and can have a huge impact on the overall look of your home. Try to get creative when putting mirrors in at home and if possible, add a collection of small mirrors instead of a large mirror.
