7 SERIOUSLY SIMPLE TIPS TO UP YOUR INSTAGRAM GAME

January 9, 2018 by Lauren Palmer

Instagram was launched in 2010. Years later, it’s still at the top of its game and continues to grow. If you’re new, here are 7 seriously simple tips to step up your Instagram game.

Instagram is a photo-sharing app where everyone can easily edit their pictures with different filters or frames. And since it’s also a social media platform, you can easily share your photos almost to everyone.

But, of course, before you could reach everyone on Instagram you need to work your way to your audience’s heart. If you have no idea how to do it, here are 7 seriously simple tips to up your Instagram game.

7 SIMPLE TIPS TO UP YOUR INSTAGRAM GAME

1. Know you camera

Everyone knows that a DSLR has a better resolution than in mobile’s camera. But that doesn’t mean that a mobile camera isn’t a good tool in photography.

This is the reason it’s important to know well your cameras because each of them has their own benefits.

Just remember on using your mobile camera, avoid using the front-facing camera for selfies. Since the front-facing camera has a lower resolution compared to mobile’s main camera, the photos will end up having more grains on it.

2. Get creative with editing tools

The most common practice on Instagram is posting it right away after capturing. Though there are photos that are best untouched; for other photos, it’s best to explore what Instagram can offer.

Instagram has 13 editing tools and 40 filters, it’s best to try each one of it. While for videos, you can download apps such as Boomerang, Hyperlapse, or GIF maker.

3. Target the best time of the day

For some, they will post whenever they feel like it. The only problem in this practice is there’s a certain time of the day that only few of your followers and target audience is online. So, as a result, only few can see and react to the photo you’ve posted.

But if you posted it where all your followers and target audience is active, the engagement on your post will be satisfying.

To find the best time to post, you can register to any analytic tools, so, you can monitor not only the time your audience is most active but also the engagement on all of your posts.

4. Hashtag parties

In Instagram, Hashtag is very important because this is what they consider when showing results on their Hashtag search, explore tab and main feed.

Though Instagram allows a maximum of 30 Hashtag per post, it’s best not to use it all to avoid overwhelming your audience.

But of course, if it’s really needed, there’s a cleaner way to do it and that’s by hiding it in the comment section. Its effectiveness is the same as the Hashtag on the caption section and once the comments from your audience piled up, it will be covered.

5. Share with others

Instagram has a wide range of audience. But if you want to reach everyone on the World Wide Web, you have to use all other media that you can possibly find.

Fortunately, there’s tons of it nowadays. All you have to do is choose what suits your style. After you linked it to your Instagram account, whenever you’re posting, it’ll be posted as well to your other social media accounts.

6. Regram

Regram is an act of taking a photo from someone else’s account and post it on their account. As a result, it increases your visibility and encourages your online community to share note-worthy content.

Instagram allowed this practice only if the users followed the proper regramming etiquette.

7. Follow @Instagram

Last on the list is to follow @Instagram. Following @Instagram has lots of benefits like:

  • Be discovered

Let’s face it everyone wants to feel appreciated for the things they love doing. In Instagram, you can achieve that by joining their Hashtag project.

Hashtag project is a series that features designated themes and Hashtag. Once Instagram likes a certain post, they will feature it on their “Suggested users list”.

  • Reach out new range of audience

Instagram has a lot of followers, so, following them will give you an opportunity to reach their audience and turn them into your followers.
