Wedding Season Trends For 2020

December 23, 2019 by Lauren Palmer

With the new year around the corner and many people already starting to plan their activities for 2020, there’s no time like the present to start thinking about potential huge events like weddings that you may find yourself involved in. There are so many interesting trends when it comes to weddings that it’s difficult to know which to follow or adopt for your own wedding, but that’s why we’ve come up with this useful guide to the top trends of 2020 in terms of weddings. Read ahead to learn more about what seems to be the in thing with weddings, and what you should consider in order to help save money.

Eloping

Eloping is one of the easiest, cheapest ways to tie the knot if you don’t have a lot of money at your disposal. At the end of the day, the event is yours and yours alone, and many people choose to get away somewhere tropical or beachy to tie the knot. It’s a great way to help keep costs down because all you have to pay for is the officiant and any necessary fees for the hotel, resort and other things that you need in order to be married. This is a great budget option for many couples when you consider that a typical wedding can cost anywhere from a couple thousand for something very elaborate to still a couple thousand for something modest and mediocre by societal standards.

DIY

Doing things yourself can be a great way to save money and make connections that last a lifetime. DIY is a fantastic way to save money and make a lasting impact on friendships and connections. Consider making your own decorations, centrepieces, headpieces and more. Not only this, but you can also make your own invitations or get a trusted crafty friend to do so for you! Doing things yourself can be a great way to save money and cultivate deeper relationships with your friends and family that are helping you create beautiful DIY things for your wedding.

Order Online

Ordering online is one of the easiest, quickest and most convenient ways to save money when planning a wedding. So many people are looking to online shops and boutiques to help them save money when planning a wedding in the new millennium, so ordering online versus buying in shops is the biggest new thing. You can have so much more selection of styles, sizes and colours for a fraction of the cost, so what’s not to like? If you’re looking for burgundy bridesmaid dresses or even just cheap bridesmaid dresses in general, online is the place to go to help save time and money. You honestly won’t regret it.

There you have a couple of great trends that are continuing into 2020 to help brides to be keep tabs on their wedding budgets. With so many great ways to keep wedding budgets down, hopefully this article will help you when it comes to this task. Good luck!
