How to Get Some Quick Cash For This Year’s Xmas Pressies

December 7, 2017 by Lauren Palmer

As we approach Christmas once again, many people will be feeling stressed out about their finances, and how they will be able to pay for Christmas presents. It is important to remember that Christmas is just one day and it is absolutely not worth getting yourself into financial difficulties, just to put a smile on someone’s face. And so instead of paying for things on credit cards and then facing a tough first few months next year, the best course of action is to get the money first and then start the new year without issues. Let’s have a look at some of the ways in which you can get your hands on some fast cash, to get the presents that you want.

Lottery

It may be a long shot but playing the lottery does give you many chances to win cash prizes. You can play different lotteries from around Europe from the UK Lotto website which will give you even more chances to win. The odds of winning a jackpot may be slim, but there are many other cash prizes which you could win that can make Christmas go that little bit smoother this year.

Second Job

If you are able to invest a little bit of time, you could easily find yourself a second job to boost your earnings this year. November  and December are the perfect time to find temp positions as many businesses look to up their staffing levels across this busy time of year. Naturally you’ll need to find something which fits around your day job and respoetibuilties but you can easily make some extra cash to cover your Christmas expenses.

Selling Things

Many of us are guilty of hoarding at one time or another and if you have stuff around the house which you no longer need, selling it can free up some funds to pay for Christmas presents. Spend a day looking around the house, rooting through drawers and cupboards to find items which are no longer needed. Once you have everything together, invest some time and upload your items on to a website such as eBay where you can sell them for a good price. This is the perfect time of year to sell such items as there are many other people looking for Christmas presents to buy. Don’t discount anything, you’ll be surprised at just what you can sell online.

Personal Loan

If you have no other options, you could always look at taking out a small personal loan. Doing this will of course mean that you have to pay the money back next year but for small loans, taken over a 12 month period, you could find yourself only paying a small amount back each month. Naturally you should ensure that you are going to be able to afford the payments and still be alright financially.

Remember that a Christmas present is about the thought, not the money, that has gone into it.
