Reusable Wine Bags: Your Contribution Towards A Better Tomorrow

April 25, 2018 by Lauren Palmer

A reusable wine bag is like it’s more famous grocery bag companion. The key difference is that these bags are slightly taller and thinner, to better accommodate wine bottles. They also have (on average) six compartments sewn in so you can carry six wine or liquor bottles without fear of them breaking.

Reusable wine bags replace paper, plastic, or cardboard, depending on what your local liquor store carries. Each of these materials – especially plastic – contributes towards the decline of our planet’s health. Replacing these with durable bags that can be reused for years can make a very large difference in how you personally affect the environment.

Reusable wine bags aren’t only for carrying wine, however. There are plenty of other ways you can use them! Below we have listed just a few ideas of how to repurpose these bags.

Specialty Groceries

You can use your wine bags for specialty groceries that are fragile or bottle-shaped. The totes will keep them safer than if they were placed in a regular reusable grocery bag, paper bag, or plastic. Some of the items you may choose to place in the wine bags include oils, ciders, sodas, or anything else which may come in a glass bottle.

Cleaning Bag

The six little compartments make this the perfect cleaning bag for the organized person. Just hang it up on a wall or store it away in a cabinet out of sight. You can place a few clean rags in one compartment, next to a bottle of your favorite cleaner. A scrubber brush, duster, and trash bags are also good things to include.

Crafting Supply Bag

Store your favorite crafting supplies in a wine bag. Not only will it be well organized, but also portable. Carry it to the sofa, the yard, the bedroom, or even the park! This idea works especially well with knitting crafts.

Beach Diaper Bag

When you head to the beach with your baby or toddler, you still need to bring the essentials – but you don’t want to get sand in your normal diaper bag. Instead, create a special beach diaper bag from a reusable wine bag! Diapers into one compartment, wipes in another. The favorite toys, a bottle, a pacifier, sunscreen lotion, water bottle, and a small reusable container of formula (if formula fed) will all fit neatly inside.

Linen Storage When Traveling

If you rent a cabin or stay with relatives, you may want to bring your own linens along. You can easily bring along three sheet sets in a single reusable wine bag. Simply wrap the sheets up tightly with a single pillowcase tucked inside. A fitted sheet in one side, a flat sheet in the other, and two pillowcases between them. Easy!

Reusable wine bags and Full Color Printed Totes are great ways to help make a smaller negative impact on the environment. Remember: don’t throw them away! To make a more substantial, lasting impact, repurpose those reusable wine bags you no longer use with our ideas or ones of your own!
