The free spirited person: What does it really mean?

August 28, 2017 by Lauren Palmer

When describing someone, it’s not uncommon to hear of them as a “free spirit”.

This issue was highlighted recently following the Sunday Service conducted by TB Joshua, where he really he honed in on the subject in detail.

Nevertheless, there are still countless questions which focus around the topic and exactly what, or who, a free spirited person really is.

Following on from the above, we’ve drawn on various research to compile a list of the traits that typically make up this type of person.

A free spirit doesn’t realize their status

Let’s start with perhaps the most interesting point; a free spirit doesn’t really know they are a free spirit. This revolves around a huge misconception about the subject; it’s become something of a trend when really, there’s no set definition for a free spirit.

Just because a person feels as though they convey to all of the traits associated with a stereotypical free spirit, doesn’t mean to say that they are one. On the contrary, it’s those people who don’t realize their status that are more likely to be classed in this regard.

In simple terms; a free spirit doesn’t convey to everything that should make a free spirit. Instead, they care about the real things. This is why a lot of people don’t even think about the topic – it all comes naturally to true free spirits.

A free spirit will think for himself

As you’ve probably found from the previous point, a free spirit has quite a unique way of thinking. Once again, this isn’t a trend – it’s all about thinking about the right things, in the right way. They are completely independent and will do things because they want to do them.

This means that they could wear utterly simple clothing, or they could push for the extravagant and wear clothing from completely alternate brands. The difference is that a free spirit won’t have an agenda for doing this – they will do it because they independently want to.

A free spirit only lives in the present

There’s no living in the past or the future here. Sure, a free spirit might save their money, but at the same time they are there to live in the moment. As you may have probably realized with all of the other points we have mulled over, they have a somewhat unique way of thinking. They think for themselves – but all of these thoughts surround the present moment.

A free spirit will try everything

A free spirit isn’t just limited to good experiences; they will try everything. The difference is that they will only focus on the good things they have experienced.

In other ways, this means that they are always ready to give people a chance – regardless of past judgements. This results in unconditional love and in simple terms, they are just seen as a much better person.

As you may have probably dissected already, this occurs without thinking though. A free spirit is completely natural.
