Westside Family Church Lenexa KS on Why You Will Be Happier Person If You Go To Church

July 29, 2018 by Lauren Palmer

For most of us, the best life that we can think of is a happy one, and whilst what causes the happiness may be different for each person, it is important that we know that true happiness is the best possible outcome. Some people think that being rich will make them happy but it rarely does, others think that fame or success will make them happy, again, something which is rarely true. Going to church however, and having faith in God, most certainly will make you a happier person. We asked some of the congregation at Westside Family Church Lenexa KS, to describe why going to church regularly has helped to make them happier people.

Community

It is a proven fact that being involved in a tight knit community can make you far happier than those who are not involved in a community. The church is the perfect place to find a community and attending regularly will ensure that you are a firm part of the church community. This type of togetherness under God is what makes us who we are, we have people to lean on in difficult times and we have people who we can share belief, success and failure. The erosion of community in society has contributed to a great many negative situations, but at the church the idea of community is still very strong indeed.

Following God’s Word

As Christians we know exactly how to live our lives in God’s eyes, and how to conduct ourselves in the way that he has taught us. With this being said, it can be easy for us to let life get in the way of being a good Christian, and this includes heading to church each week. When you do go to church regularly however, you know that you are doing what God wants you to do, and this is something which can make your overall self far happier. As Christians we must make actions which live up to our faith and our religion, and going to church each week and giving thanks and praise can be directly related to happiness.

Non Judging

The church is a place  which can offer you sanctuary from the outside world, there is no judgements here about who you are or what you do. The church is actually a very simple concept, a group of like-minded people coming together under a common goal, to worship and praise their Lord. This means that if you have a had a bad week, a stressful week or you have many problems going on, you can come to the church and step away from all of those issues, here you can sing, give thanks and praise, ask for support and relieve your stress through your worship. This is yet another reason why you will be a much happier person if you attend church regularly.
